25 random things about tennyson

Here is a little more of the birthday bonanza I promised in honour of my son's second birthday. It's 25 things about him. I could probably add more by now - if you find it's a little longer than 25, that's what happened!

1. Today is his 2nd birthday (i wrote this 3 weeks ago on facebook).

2. He was born at home, in my room, and weighed in at 8 pounds, 15 ounces, 21.5 inches long.

3. He didn't really fit into the first sleeper I squished him into.

4. His first visitor was my mom. We ended up transferring to the hospital because he breathed like a dragon. Still does. We laughed at how big and plump and healthy he was despite being in NICU.

5. His first word was cookie. There was lots of mamama and dadadada, but cookie was the first perfectly said word.

6. He wears a size 8 shoe.

7. He wears a size 3 shirt and size 2 pant.

8. His big sister is his hero AND his nemesis all rolled into one.

9. He adores baby Mitchell, probably more than Mitchell adores him. He hugs, kisses and squashes him throughout the day.

10. He is NOT a baby, he is a "Big Boy." Don't try to tell him any different.

11. He knows that chicken and french fries come from MacDonalds.

12. He avidly avoids eating anything green on his plate, unless he thinks I want to eat it - then it's hilarious to chow it down.

13. He began leaping out of his crib months ago.

14. He can also open doors. All bets are off at bedtime.

15. He loves bathing, and isn't afraid to lay in the bottom of the tub, let his ears fill with water, and giggle maniacally.

16. He loves getting dirty.

17. He likes play-doh, and coloring and making towers out of blocks.

18. He chases people around, yelling "eat you! eat you!" while pretending to take huge bites once he catches you. The game is made much better if you feign fear.

19. He likes the rainbow song - over, and over, and over, and over...

20. He asks for the choochoo song. It isn't a real song. It's something Jordan made up. Now she has to sing it to him, because Mommy isn't all that excited about making up songs. Mommy likes "real" songs. The kids made-up songs are adorable though.

21. He can ride a tricycle, but prefers to just stand there and shuffle along with his feet on the ground.

22. He's been doing the play structure slide on his own since he was about 14 months old. No, he didn't have the balance to sit up, and yes, he shot out the bottom of the slide onto his behind for an entire summer. He loved it.

23. He now does the water slide at South Port himself. He still can't stay sitting, so he lays on his back with his arms and legs out like a little starfish as he rockets down the slide, shooting out the bottom into the waiting arms of one of his parents. Sometimes he comes out head first.

24. He's a bit of a mama's boy, but can't get enough of daddy either.

25. He's the huggiest, cuddliest, kissiest of all the three kids.
